The Amaranthus is a considered a flower and rather than petals it grows in what appears to be plums and when dried it keeps its natural color of deep red and green leaves. This is a wonderful filler in any dried floral arrangement or mixed with dried greens to give a touch of color.
The exotic looking flower with rope like flowers is botanically classed in the family Amaranthaceae and is a cascading flower while growing.
