The Cardoon is a cousin to the artichoke, and the similarity is clear to see, although the pointed petal tips are more open and pronounced than the artichoke. The Cardoon is brown in color with light red or pink tips on the pointed leaves. These are the adornment for any floral arrangement or large sized wreath and give them a different look than a fern, grass or dried flower is able to give the arrangement.
