This is a grass that is not unusual to see near the ocean in the coastal regions of the United States, and is wheat colored. The tops are filled with coarse textured grains on sturdy stems, which makes it the type of filler for the floor standing vase arrangement. They are able to add the height needed in any arrangement and yet have a delicate appearance that can make a large arrangement appear soft and delicate.
